Taye Currency hosts Wasiu Ayinde, Osupa Saheed, this Weekend in Ibadan for the Ariya Repete Grand Finale


It’s hard to argue that one of the most well-known acts in Ibadan music is Taye Currency. Even though his foray into mainstream music has seen him collaborate with some Lagos based artistes, Taye Currency remains the poster boy of Fuji music in Oyo State.

Now the fan favorite will be playing host to some of the biggest Yoruba musicians as he welcomes Fuji music greats Wasiu Ayinde and Osupa Saheed to Ibadan this Friday for the grand finale of Ariya Repete 2018.

The Ariya Repete train has previously made stops in Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ogun and will now make its final stop in Ibadan as everyone will be eagerly waiting to see who emerges victorious in each of the three categories (Juju, Fuji & traditional drumming and) walks home with a mouthwatering two million Naira.

Ariya Repete has been promoting the very best of Fuji, Juju and traditional drumming in its search for the new generation of talented artists to take Fuji and Juju music to the next level.

Ariya Repete is Goldberg Lager beer’s flagship Yoruba music competition and the only indigenous music competition celebrating the best of traditional Yoruba music. After hosting auditions in various states and producing regional winners, all finalists will be slugging it out for the grand prize at the grand finale on the 11th of May.
